If you’re going to San Francisco be sure to see the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, a symbol of this beautiful city. Walk along Pier 39 at Fisherman’s Wharf and browse the shops, markets and restaurants. Have fun at the Believe It or Not Museum nearby.

Take one of the famous trolley buses up some of the steepest and most scenic streets, and drive down the crooked hair pin bends of Lombard Street. Visit Alcatraz as a tourist, not a prisoner, and take a cruise around San Francisco Bay.

Families will enjoy the Aquarium of the Bay with over 20,000 marine species, and the Jelly Belly Candy Company where the famous candy is made. Consider a tour to the wine growing region of the Napa Valley and the area around Carmel. Walk along Santa Cruz Beach and the Boardwalk.

The Botanical Gardens and the Yerba Buena gardens are lovely places to escape the busy atmosphere in the city. Don’t forget Chinatown with its unique character and if you’re looking for the gay scene this is the capital of the world. The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus is inspirational and one of many ideas if you’re looking for a concert or cultural activity. With a wealth of diverse activities in the Bay area and interesting areas around San Francisco there is something for everyone in San Francisco.
