By train
Amtrak intercity trains do not arrive at San Francisco and passengers transfer at the Amtrak station at Emeryville in the East Bay to an Amtrak California bus to the bus stop at 101 The Embarcadero.
By bus
The Greyhound terminal is inside the Transbay Transit Terminal at First and Mission streets.
By car
101 North runs up the eastern side of the Peninsula ; I-280 North is the more scenic route. I-80 approaches the city from the East crossing the San Francisco Bay Bridge . From the north, the 101 South enters San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge. |
